Definition: favouritism shown to relatives or close friends by those with power or influence.
Out of an absurd argument over my mother allowing me to eat some of her frozen berries and not another person, I guess the good thing that came of this heated discussion is learning a new word.
Nepotism. N-e-p-o-t-i-s-m. Nepotism.
